Conference “Innovation and Digital Reality. Design and Innovation” in Tallinn

Within the project Precast Concrete Components 2.0 (PCC 2.0) an interdisciplinary team develops novel circular economy processes to reuse concrete components of obsolete buildings. The project aims at overcoming linear material flows within architectural construction and avoiding further exploitation of scarce resources. The team digitizes and disassembles buildings and transforms them into refurbished components: PCC 2.0 – Precast Concrete Components 2.0.

Alumnus Bastian Wibranek: Vom Fachbereich Architektur an die University of Texas

Noch bevor Bastian Wibranek seine Promotion in Architektur an der TU Darmstadt 2021 abschloss, hatte er bereits eine Stelle in den USA in der Tasche. Als Assistant Professor lehrt der 38-Jährige heute „Digital Design and Fabrication“ an der University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Es war die erste Stelle, für die er sich bewarb und gleich ein Traumjob. Als „nahezu perfekt“ beschreibt er die Konditionen in seiner neuen Heimat.
