The development of a digitally designed interlocking system taking into account aspects of design, combinatorics, fabrication technologies and sustainability by Janine Junen

Janine Junen departs from Konrad Wachsmann’s Cube made from 12 elements. Janine develops 12 novel and different geometric elements and merges Wachsmann’s approach of the “industrialisation of building” with the computational power that allows for differentiation through combinatorics. The elements are made from standard sheet timber dry jointed into reversible constructions. Janine designs a tower and a bridge made from similar elements.
