We are pleased to announce “Print Local!”, a newly published chapter in the book “AM PERSPECTIVES – Research in Additive Manufacturing for Architecture and Construction”, authored by DDU researchers Oliver Tessmann, Nadja Gaudillière-Jami, and Max Benjamin Eschenbach.

“Print Local!” examines the rapid growth of additive manufacturing in architecture, from lab tests to multi-family houses. It highlights interdisciplinary efforts by engineers, architects, roboticists, and material scientists, addressing climate change, material scarcity, and affordable housing with local materials and decentralized technologies.

The book “AM PERSPECTIVES”, edited by Philipp Rosendahl, Bruno Figueiredo, Michaela Turrin, Ulrich Knaack and Paolo J. S. Cruz, offers an overview of the latest 3D printing developments in architecture and construction, covering materials, processes, scaling challenges, and innovative case studies. It explores the future potential of 3D printing for sustainability, affordability, and applications in areas like disaster relief and space colonization.

“AM PERSPECTIVES – Research in Additive Manufacturing for Architecture and Construction” is an open access publication and available online.
