DDU is featured in the book Systematisierte Planungs- und Bauprozesse (translates to Systematic Planning and Construction Processes) by Jutta Albus, Kirsten Hollmann-Schröter, Felix Lowin and Matthias Johann Nowak published by #fraunhoferirb. DDU regards construction systems based on dry-jointed, interlocking, discrete elements as a promising approach for a versatile architecture for dis-assembly and re-assembly, allowing building blocks to be used beyond the life cycle of a single building. The work is illustrated by a prototype of in Topological Interlocking Assemblies (TIA) by DDU students Nils Adam, Julian Becker and Tobias.
